Challenge #93 - Water Feature

I have seen lots of shots of waterfalls, drops of water, lakes, streams etc. How about this week we show photos of water as one of the key subjects of the photo?

Looking forward to seeing some great entries again.

I had a real tough time picking the winners. I thought everyone had a great entry and nice to see new people joining us as well. There is no real technical reason for selecting these other than ,in my opinion, being very pleasing to look at and how well they fit the challenge topic.

Results:

1st: DreDaze - Water Drop, well done, I really liked the colors, composition and specially the reflection captured. The DOF use is really nice to highlight the water drop.

2nd: EddS - Silky Falls, great capture of the falls, it was extremely tough to pick between this and the first place entry. I was switching back and forth until a couple of minutes ago.

3rd: teekay - Incoming Tide - as always jealous that I am totally land locked and have not been to an ocean in years.

River At Dawn

The mist was hanging but my S3IS cut through some of it. F4 At 1/1600. I was surprised by how much light there was as evidenced by the shutter speed. The mist and water relflections mere brighter than they seemed at the time.

Taken from atop a train trestle. The water and the view was beautiful this day.

EDIT: The title is incorrect. I was looking at one picture but posted another. The title should be "Aerial St. Croix"
