does the 1Dmark2N perform better in low light high iso (1600 and 3200) IQ?

i realise the 1dmark2n may take perhaps a second longer to focus in low lighting, due to another posting i've seen here, however what is the overall IQ diff in these conditions? negligible?

thanks guys!

I had the 1dIIn and 30D at the same time for about a month, but didn't do any direct testing. I would say the 30D had less noise in the shadows at 1600 and 3200. Can't comment on the low-light focusing, however.

I don't have a 1DMarkIIn, however seeing as how it shares the same sensor technology and processor as the 5D, I would have to say the the 1DIIn would be a far cry better than the 30D in the areas of high ISO noise & dynamic range.

The 1DMKIIN is superior to the 30D in all respects, IMO.

IQ is comparable, but since the 1D has a larger sensor, faster AF (all conditions)the look of the results and number of keepers is higher.

High ISO results vary; if properly exposed, I'm not sure that I could tell you which image noise level came from which camera. All I know is I tend to remove more noise from 30D shots at ISO3200, all conditions, than I do from the 1D.

I own both.

Nope, that's just IMHO based upon experience.

You can check truly technical websites which have all of the hard, measured data on both sensors and that would tell you something definitive.

Google it. It is around.

;)

Here is a shot from the other night with the 2n 1600 iso.
