Brown truck arrived right on time! Now unfortunately it's supposed to be very rainy tomorrow and Friday, but Saturday is forecast to be nice, and I'm going to watch sandhill cranes so hopefully I'll get to try it out! :D

Ha, I knew someone would say something about that! I may have to chase the cats around a bit and see what I can come up with. My main interest is birds so I'm usually pretty fixated on that, and forget that there are other things in the world to photograph. ;)

Congratz! Now don't even open it and ship it back to Canon for the latest hardware fix on that focusing issue... let's see some ducks!

Y'all are awful - it's supposed to rain like 3 inches here and 15-30 mph winds! The camera may be weather sealed, but I'm not! So I'll have to wait until Saturday to take it outside. Hopefully my cats will cooperate and I can get some initial test shots before then. I can't send it in for the hardware fix yet, because I need the camera for my Alaska trip next month and can't take a chance on not having it. So focus problems or not, I'm using it - should be a good test. The firmware is 1.1.0, so hopefully it's one of the newer models that doesn't have a hardware problem. We'll see!
