What is this "Chocolate Effect"?

I keep hearing about it, like "that image kinda has that chocolate effect" or "i love using the chocolate effect". Where can I get it? Can anyone post an example? maybe a before and after.

Thanks in advance
Franko

It's Kubota action in Volume one. I believe it's a sepia.

I think your looking for the Kubota actions. Follow the link.....if you click on "next" under the pictures...you will see on the upper right hand side what was used for each picture. You will find some of the "chocolate"effects.

Yeah I saw that, the pictures are kinda small though. I wondered if someone maybe had a bigger example, cause from that shot linked it just looks B&W

It's just a controllable sepia. You can control the shade/color and softness mainly I think.

My favorite action.. Chocolate sepia. Here are a couple

And I wouldnt say it's a controllable shade of sepia. It is a simple one click action from Kubota... yeah you can tone down the saturation if you want it less sepia, but it's meant as a one click sepia action... and I LOVE it!

I don't have photoshop, but I made a similar script in PSP - you could do the same in photoshop I think - that it sounds like would give more control. I made a bunch of scripts that mimic popular PS actions, and keep them so that nothing gets flattened and I can tweak things.

My fav is chocolate syrup. I've found the fudge ones lose too much shadow detail unless you've overexposed a lot or have a LOT of light on the dark suits.

Thanks for the examples :D
While these are nice shots and PP these look basically like B&W with the exception of picturecrazy. His look like B&W with a brown feel (like I imagined the chocolate action). I like the brown feel (if that makes sense)

Which Vol Kubota is the most popular?

artistic Vol 2 is most popular.

Everyone has different tastes to their PP, and all examples posted are very nice! :) I like a touch more warm brownish tone, so I modifed it. I modify many of the Kubota actions to suit my tastes.

if you put a BW V Sepia/Chocolate/Fudge shot you'll see the difference right away
