Hi guys

Yesterday was start of Volleyball European Champions league, and I finally got chance to shoot some top level volleyball.
Here are few photos from match between ACH Volley Bled, Slovenia and Nolik Maaseik, Belgium.

I don't know why light is always so bad with volleyball. They played in same arena where Union Olimpija is playing basketball (not Euroleague matches), and on basketball I can normally get 1/640 at f3.2 and iso800. Here all I could get was 1/500 at f3.5 and iso1250.

Have nice day,
Primoz

Nice shots, but your watermark falls across faces on all three.

How high were you sitting for shot #2?

shooting club VB and club soccer, hoping to get back to landscape work soon.

Sorry about watermark. It's added automatically, to center of photo, so... :)
As far as position goes... Most of us were standing on "bench" reserved for photographers about 2.5m above field. It was a bit too low, but there wasn't any other chance. So I live with that what I get, and I try to get best out of current situation :)

What focal length were you at. My pick would be #3 but I love to see more of the action, court etc.

Is it not permitted to sit on the baseline or next to the net?

Darren

Unfortunate logo... but you know that. Love how they completely elevate over the net for nice clean shots. Well done amigo.
