Yes. Those are better but the white balance still looks off. You can do some PP to give them more pop. The lens you have if fine as long as you are photographying forwards and midfielders. It doesn't have enough reach to get the defensive players.

yea i dont care about the D too much lol

but I will try the white balance idea. Miguel Cruz initially set it up like this for paintball so I havent really changed much besides ISO.

FYI, one of the best things about the 2.8 vs the 4 is that on the XTi (and most xxD bodies as well), you'll get faster and more accurate focusing with the 2.8.

Im more worried about upgrading my body before i get another fancy peice of glass. The f4 will do nice for now but I could deffinately use a better body. Im looking at the 40d but still looking for the right price

Am I out of line for you to buy the 40D already.. It just came out you're not gonna find it "cheap" anywhere... It was released 2 months ago i believe!? I've seen 1299.00 at some place on the internet, maybe jr.com or check pricegrabber.com... You're probably not going to find it any cheaper than that, so buy it up already! I just got mine, and am loving it. I moved up from an XTi.

The differences between the 1Dm2 and the 1Dm2n are largely the size of the back screen, some image review differences, the implementation of picture styles, and some small changes in file management.

Hi

I would suggest to upgrade your lens to the 2.8. From what I have learnt it depends too on your lens.

Cheers

I move up from a Digital Rebel (300D) to the 40D. As others who own this have said, It's great for sports.

I read somewhere (don't know where) that when shooting soccer (football) you should meter for the grass, and shoot in manual. - point the camera at the grass near where a player will be, go into manual mode and adjust aperture and shutter speed to get a good exposure. That way your shots will be consistant.

However, if there's sun across half the pitch that might not work...
