So I took a labor day weekend cruise to the Bahamas back in Sept with 10 of my friends and came up with this set while we were ashore in Nassau.

WOW, the colors are so nice and vivid, I LOVE those! Really fits in with the image I get when I think of the Bahamas...you always think blue blues and turquoise and vivid colors. You did great! I'm jealous tho, I want a cruise too and not just a dinky little boat going between Sweden and Finland (only "cruise" ships I've ever been on).

Thanks guys. The cruise was definitely fun, but more so because of the friends I went with. We found a decent deal on a 3 day Carnival cruise ranging from 285-350 per person depending upon what room you decided to go with. I've gotto admit, it's a bit weird eating all of that food without having to pay a single cent unless you order an alcoholic drink or a soda.

Oh and a note about the beach. It's a locals beach I guess you could say because we didn't see any other tourists there and it's right next to a strip of local restaurants and some warehouses. It looks incredible in the pictures and in real life until you dive in the water and swim a bit only to see a bunch of beer cans, bottles, pair of jeans and other random pieces of junk down there. I guess that's why no other tourists were there. Either way, it was still fun interacting with the locals and it was a convenient place to jump in as we were on our way back to the cruise ship from the place we had lunch at.

I should also mention that we did find the pristine beaches (off of Rose Island) that you see in the ads and imagine when you think of the Bahamas. It's just that I didn't get very many pictures of it since I was too busy snorkeling.

Yes it's true that your horizons are not level, but it didn't see it until somebody said something.

Wonderful shots, stupendous color and fantabulous scenery! I like #'s 3 and 6 the best

Can you give us some info on a couple of the photo's, what lens were you using exactly, what camera (you have two listed) and do you have a link to the lens? I have a rebel and I'm wondering how I can obtain stunning color/clarity/detail like you have...

I'm almost positive the OP used a high quality CPL to get the super blue sky

Is that what pics look like with a CPL? by high quality, do you mean like a B&H? i am trying to decide if i should get one for me 10-20 or my 18-200. i use the zoom more, but probably get more skies with the super wide angle. thoughts?
