Shot using Canon Eos 20D set on "P". Speedlite 580 on ETTL II, ISO 100, Eos 28mm - 300mm L IS
What am I doing wrong?
Why is it so dark?
Why is it not "pin sharp"?
Please help, I'm tearing my hair out here.

I don't like evaluative metering, you never know what it's going to decide to meter.
