Get the lens. I skipped 40d and got the 135 f/2L instead. It will make a nice companion to my 400d.

I'm really unhappy with the 350D and seems to be my limiting factor. Going to order Monday or Tuesday. Thanks for the input. Will post some pics once I get it!

Actually, when I look at the numbers, you're better off saving more money so that you have enough to sell all your items and buy the 40D and 70-200 IS at the same time. I do want to sell my 75-300 but I really like the 28-105. It's a great walk around lens for me. I'll keep the 350D as a secondary, could come in handy if something happens to the 40D during an assignment.
