cant really compare but i did have a brief experience with PW's(rented) and at the time didnt realize the power i had in my sweet little hands until after i read through most of this section and strobist. But they always fired and at great distances when i was messing around to see how far they would still set off the flash.

I have the Calumet Litelinks (rebranded Bowens Pulsars). If I had to do it all again, I would have spent the extra on the PW's. The Pulsars fire every time and have a great range, but you have to really baby them to prevent them from double firing.
