I want to buy a light meter, One I can use for outdoor photos and studio strobe work. Can somebody point me in the right direction. I really want to stay in that $350.00 range. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.


Canon 20D (with grip), Canon 40d, Canon L 24-70mm,Canon 50mm 1.4, Canon 85mm 1.8, 70-200mm 2.8 L, 580 ex speedflash, 2 AB800, 2 softboxes, 4 strobes, backdrops, flash bracket, reflectors and other misc....

Sekonic L-358 is popular. Go to sekonic.com and read the specs and features of their various models. If you have specific questions about something, feel free to ask.

For the money I don't think you can do better than the Sekonic L-358. It's an outstanding meter and will do everything you are looking for.

Thanks for helping make my decision. I just pulled the plug on the Sekonic L-358, thanks for your input.

I nice little,but excellent meter is the Gossen Digiflash.
