Just talked with Infinity Photo in NY on their advertised price for a body only 30D for $299.00. Was told this was a wholesale model with a plastic rather than "magnesium" body. Did Canon even offer such a model?

A new in the box 30D is going for $999 now at B&H, which is one of the better and cheaper dealers, and very dependable with a 14 day no questions asked return policy. Order from a good store.
