This past weekend I was shown around by Adam (adam* on these forums) from Newcastle.

We went to Tynemouth on Friday, which was nice, best fish and chips I've had out here, but sadly still doesn't beat New Zealand's

1DIII + 17-40 + ND grad filters

Images haven't been touched as usual, just out of camera, like to get the look at the time of shooting, and using the grad filters

Tynemouth:

Posted this in People the other day - still think it's funny - the moment I got my legs wet! - Standing on the rock from the pic above

120-300 - sadly don't have a ND filter big enough - would be way too expensive

Alnmouth - Sunday afternoon

I just wished I had changed to a wide angle lens for the Tynemouth waterbreak/lighthouse, like adam did in his:

Awesome shots Warren :D

Really like 3, 5 and 7. They stand out for me.

Erm. Let me get this right. You haven't got an ND filter for your 100 - 300 as it's too expensive but you have a 1DmkIII? Would you use it often? if so just get one. Good grief. :p

I wouldn't be lamenting the fact that you used a tele on the waterbreak, looks good as it is.

Cheers, Shane.

Awesome pictures!! I love the one where you are standing on the rock and the last one. What a nice progression to a beautiful blue sky!! This one is probably(?) my favorite one out of the set.

Very nice series Warren -- as usual. What Shane said - get the bloody filter!

Number 5 sticks in my mind, appealing. Grad filters create a nice effect. Good work as usual.

Number 7 is my fave, the NG grads are seamless

Thanks everyone for the kind words :)

I left he tripod in the car, as didn't think I'd use it - so had to hand hold the legs and water shots, about 1/5th, 1/6th, and 1/8th I was using. Not magic to do 1 second +

RE: 120-300 filter - It's a 105mm front end - I only have 77mm adapter for Cokin set - I think 82mm is the largest? Would be a bit risky without using the hood. Got money? Got a 1DIII? I never said which truck I stole it from ;)

You're wrong, you lack experience :p
Unless you like the really greasy type - need some good NZ Snapper

Thanks, yeah they were very close! They were walking my way, facing ahead, then you hear the monstrous crash of water against the wall, then rises. Only 5 seconds too late,
