Viewing Over exposure in LCD of 30D

Hi, someone showed my that there is a setting that will show you over exposed areas of you photo with blinking black parts when viewing in the LCD.

Not sure where to set this in the camera settings of a 30D.

Any help would be much appreciated.

It is blinking white parts, blown out. I'll look and get back to you. Although someone else will have the answer by then. :)

You have to push the "info" button to change the playback display mode.

Yea I just looked click the arrow button to bring up a image then push the info button so the picture displays with the histogram.

A very valuable tool for a quick look to see where you're blown out. I use it in concert with the histogram all the time.
