Oh, and Chris, you know that neat pond on the Woodpecker Loop Trail? The one that you like to take shots of? Here it is now.

I packed my 28-75 up there just to take a shot of it for you.

What the heck happened to Mirror Pond??!!:shock:

The only thing I can figure is that Chantal must have thought Permie was going to be there. So she drained the pond so as to avoid any unfortunate incidents (remember last time when she almost fell in the pond and tried to drag me and my camera in with her?!)

You know, Scott, I get really tired of you showing off your shots right after me. Dang, man, I was right there shooting next to you, and I never got shots that nice.

Thanks, but I was going to say the same about yours!!! :-D

I love that bird with berries shot..

you always make that sound so bad!! I barely slipped and I BARELY grabbed you :lol:

You're supposed to say "you remember when I was there in the 'TA DA nick of time' and saved Permie's camera from getting wet?"

I forgot about that!!! I bet Chantal did drain it! I should've forwarded the memo that Lisa wasn't going to be there.

Hey, how was the class?

I can see why you like it. The American Robin is quite rare. It is only the most prolific bird found in the continental US by a factor of 10. They're rarely seen except anywhere outside.:p

Hey, how was the class?

It was great. Really more of a talk/workshop than a class.

It was your future camera, if I remember correctly....

Any class tidbits you can share?

Was it?! WOW. Good thinking on my part.

Yes, tons of tidbits. But if I shared them I'd have to kill you.

You decide.:p

he's not "little" he's Gus. His name is Andrew but we've called him Gus (after that cute little mouse on Cinderella...and yeah, he'll KILL me for telling you that ) since he was tiny.

Look at these - I made them small so not to take a lot of forum space, but I think you will get the picture:

Center Point AF - the bird was in the center the whole time - nice and sharp in the first shot, and OOF in the rest...

^^^ is exactly what happened to me during the cruise of the San Juan Islands...I had several of these types of shots and it frustrated me to NO END. I'm eventually going to send my M3 in to have it fixed.

I wonder if the 40D has the same prob. as the M3?
