I'm a bit scared to post this question in the EOS section as I don't want to appear as a measurebater.

Those of you who've owned 1D MK II's. Did any of you have problems getting to grips with the exposure metering? I've noticed that it seems to like over or under exposing regardless of what metering method I use. Spot metering appears to be the best best (well, and manual mode).

Not an issue for me...Set EC to 0 and the exposure is pretty much right on regardless of the metering mode.

well, I remember using eval and usually a +1/3 or +2/3 almost constantly, but I don't remember much about it....it's been a while

Yeah sure. It's been ages since I've done any birding. It'd probably put us there about 2:30.

I found out my MK III underexposes almost all the time so I need to set EC to +1/3 or +2/3.

That works for me.

Meet you at Eagle Marsh (that's where several Tundra Swan were yesterday).

I shoot in M constantly with my M3 so I have no idea if it does or doesn't. I'll have to check it out.

is Eagle marsh by the bathrooms or is it the main place we've met several times?
