Um.... soft: where soft? They look sharp to me. Am I missing something?

Nicely done, Permie!

But when did that little mouse (with big feet, I might add) turn into a vole?

thanks Julian. I had a hard time today...I don't know why. Maybe it's just that I'm out of practice. In any case I'm rather discouraged. I feel like I blew some killer opportunities.

Well it's alot better than my ability to catch BIF. :)

And I have gutted him ;). I do agree, I have never seen a raptor eating something catching it with a camera.

Answers in red!

Why do I have a feeling that your dancing is as "impressive" as mine? I know that anyone who's seen me has definitely come away with some sort of impression.

not a chance...not while there's still breath in my body!

Gonna be a fun Thanksgiving, isn't it. :D

And nice shots, Permie. You'll get back in practice -- and even rusty you blow me away. Every time I see what you guys find I want to get down to the Nisqually Refuge about 30 minutes south of here -- now I just need to find the time to do it.

LOL David...she's not going to be home for thanksgiving...or we'd probably have one of those "don't make me hold you down and tickle you" moments.

and thanks re: the bird shots.

and now, SORRY but I'm frustrated. I'm sure the softness is because I'm not used to hauling the M3 and the 300, plus I was in a car that was running BUT ever since I've had the M3 I've had increase in CA (major frustration) and on animals (or small moving things) I loose time shooting because it's bouncing around in focus. I took over 150 kestral shots and only have a handful that are slightly in focus.

nothing was really close enough to check the focus accuracy...over all the landscape shots were fine. I'm just discouraged. It was a great day visually and a huge disappointment photography-wise.

Bummer.

Today is my day to have computer issues.

My pc is still doing chkdsk on all my drives.

On a somewhat related note, I upgraded my laptop to LR 1.3 and it went flawlessly. No reboot needed. No problems. Whatsoever. It's my Vista machine.

The next meeting of measurebators anonymous convenes in 10 minutes. Time to walk away from the CF and LF for a while....

Each successive piece of improved technology causes fresh problems down the road...the finer the detail produced, the more apparent little flaws become...
