The next meeting of measurebators anonymous convenes in 10 minutes. Time to walk away from the CF and LF for a while....

Each successive piece of improved technology causes fresh problems down the road...the finer the detail produced, the more apparent little flaws become...

Huh???

I know what she is talking about...I have a 16x20 print hanging in my living room that causes everyone that looks at it to say "wow....what amazing detail"...and yet I have sat here for the past three days trying to edit it for the book....and all I see is soft corners, CA and a touch of motion blur....far from being worthy of the newspaper, much less the book.

You know...I go back and look at some old shots with a D30....and am amazed that they often look better than ones from one of the 1 series bodies. I am sure that technology advances play a role...hell...take an old crt monitor on a slow system and most any image looks great!

Will a 1024x768 monitor show the details and the flaws as clearly as a 1680x1050 display? Will a 3.1mb image have as much information and detail as a 16.5mb one? Technology does make a difference.
