Hi all-

How is the autofocus on a 400D compared to a 40D or a 30D? Just curious- but could see a 400D in the future to replace our 350D when it wears out.

I owed a 30D, and have a 40D, 40D is noticeable better than the 30D, in speed of focusing, tracking is more accurate, and low light AF

if you can push that bit extra to the 40D, with Cash back as well, you will not regret it for sure, it has many useful features on it over a 400D
I have a MK3 as well, and the 40D is not a hell of a lot behind the MK3 in terms of Focusing speed, the MK3 is quicker for sure, but the 40D, has always surprised me,

40D's focusing speed is far superior than the one of 400D. It's precise, and fast.

They do, however the 40d has a completely different and new focusing system.

I upgraded from a 350D to a 400D because of the 400D's superior focusing system and have been a happy camper since then.
