lol my first thought was, "is her face stuck like that?" In both shots her face is all drawn up. She definitely knows how to express her emotions in her face!!

By the way, was reception thing lit only by candlelight? Geez it seems SO dark and all I can see providing light are candles!

2 & 3 look a bit under-exposed although I'm not on a good monitor.

#2 is very flat though, how are you converting? Try a curves tweak to give it some contrast

Edit: Removed #2 (poor B&W conversion on my part, naturally. :( )

Here's another shot. It was a dreary rainy day.

Skrim, my apologies. For someone who tries to best use the English language, my title is poor, at best. I meant I had an assistant for the first time who I paid and who had no experience. I had to direct her, etc., but it worked out well.

Ahh, now I get it! Love the limo shot, even with his poor umbrella placement..

Yes, in fact, she smiles so "big" that her eyes basically looked closed. When I did prep shots in her apartment, I noticed that and asked her to "open your eyes." After that, though, that was a lost cause.

As to the lighting, yes, by candlelight and very small, old, weak lights up on the pillars. It was one of the darkest affairs I've ever been to. Other than the 24-70, which to me is the best in the "dark," the 70-200 f2.8 did a lot of hunting. My new 85L locked fairly well.
Thanks.

That last one is very good indeed. On the inside limo shot, I'd have spot metered for her dress with +2/3-1EC, fill flash to match, and then adjusted afterward. Just didn't care for the strip of sunlight across their midsections.

Good job, fella. Some creative PP could improve them a bit, but decent overall.

Thank you, kathy.

How's this for a fun bride: I asked her for a bottle of water, and followed her to the fridge. When she opened it I joked, good thing there's no beer in there, as I didn't see any. She said, Oh, yes there is, and this was the result:
