WAHEY! 1DMKIII view finder now "spick & span"

Yeah in the other thread i did say i saw specks on the shots, but later on in the thread i said made a mistake :o.I thought i saw the specks the night before but when i did the f22 test the day after in better light on a white wall it was tottall clear.

They were on the focus screen from the start.

Alan, Sorry I should have read all the thread:o Maybe the cleaning system did its job? sometimes I see specs on my images, now I don't bother to clean because the chances are the next time I use it there will be nothing. I have had to do a wet clean once recently after about 13000 actuations. IMO the MKIII cleaning system does a good job.

I've done the exact thing on my Rebel XT this summer.
It's a precision job, but if you take care, everything is easy.

OMG did the usual photograph the cat in the garden shots today, and now its such a joy to use.Now i'm not looking at any black spots :cool:.

Oh and no focus issues as of yet.Every pic was sharp and spot on :cool:.Have to give it a reall good testing on a motorsport race day or out in the field with the wildlife :D

no you are not. the 20D focusing screen doesn't drop like that. it is a bit more complicated because it doesn't have interchangeable focusing screen
