This is Mt. Elbert and Mt. Massive, the first and second highest peaks in Colorado. At least I think that's what they are, they look different than from the usual vantage point on Highway 24 up near Leadville. This was further south.

Taken freehand and stitched use Microsoft ICE. I wonder if using HDR would have made this better.

In the North West of England

I think it is a bit dark overall. Maybe you don't need the HDR, but a overall increase in exposure suffices.

Constructive criticism and editing always welcome.

Wouldn't an overall increase in exposure wipe out the clouds?

You should be able to bring up the shadows in the foreground plus a slight exposure bump without doing too much to the sky (I think). When I just use DPP to edit things, I edit the first photo, then save the modifications in a Recipe file and apply that to the rest of the photos, then convert to jpegs and do the stitch. I'm a few versions back on Lightroom, but I know if you have the latest version they allow you to stitch raw photos and then you could edit the whole thing at once.

I don't know about your image files, but the histogram included in the forum suggests that you have some room to play with. I don't see anything really close to white on it.

Thank you.

Those images was taken handheld, and stitched using Microsoft I.C.E.
