"Moon Shot" test

Ok... not ideal circumstances.

I was in a rush because I was packing up my kids to go home... it was dusk, so light metering would be off (too bright) so in DPP I reduced brightness by -2.

40D with 70-200mm f/2.8L IS with a Canon 1.4x TC, wide open (f/4 with the TC) and handheld.

100% crop:

6 more days until a full moon - will have to set up a bit more next time, but I'm still impressed with how it turned out despite all the issues!

Wow, I have the same lens and TC combo and didn't think you could get a shot of the moon like this! Well done. How big is the moon in the full shot?

Small.... 10Mpixel helps in this instance!
