Here's a pretty neat image resizing software I found. It's free and says it works with XP and Vista. I've been using and recommending the MS image resizer power tool, but I think I'll change to this one. It's easy and can resize to more sizes at the click of a button. Fast and easy that's the name of the game. And for you unlucky souls, it should work with Vista. You can do one or as many as you like at a time.

A question... Are you using some type of image editing program (Photoshop, Photoshop Elements, Lightroom, DPP)? If so, then why have a separate resizing program? All the features of the software you linked to are available in the above applications.

I use the MS Powertool because it can resize a dozen pictures in the time it takes PS to load.

There are many many programs that will resize images. Everyone has their favorite. Some programs will do just one function while others will be multi-purpose, it is really a matter of personal preference.

I have several different programs that will do resizing. One is Breezebrowser Pro and offers many other functions along with this. It is a great image browser and builds previews of files very fast. The only thing that I have found for this purpose that is faster would be FastStone. If I am doing watermarking on images I tend to use CS3 which allows me to run an action I built that will apply 2 watermarks, reduce resolution and resize. I do this through the image processor. It is all a matter of using whatever you are comfortable with.

Looking at the website for VSO that the OP put up, it would appear that it is a reasonable alternative to those not wanting to spend the time to facilitate this inside of Photoshop.

My life is like one big RAW file....way too much post processing needed.

Just to resize a pic for posting or emailing you can't beat these little programs. You can't beat the speed of them. once you've navagated to the pic you want you just have to right click on them and the program opens instantly, before you can open your photo software your pic is resized and uploaded.
