Take a travel kit with me everywhere I go. I travel a bit for work so it has proven a nice evening diversion after a long day.

Donte, I also work in the games industry and I also take my camera everywhere I go. I use my Canon 850 IS because it is Small.

I am waiting for the new 5D to come out as my main camera.

My biggest Regret was that when I lived in England, I did not have a video camera. Almost every weekend ( I lived right across from a nightclub in Ealing), there would be fights right outside of my apartment which I have basically front row seats. I must have missed about 10 pretty good scraps.

Oh god, these would have been Gold on Youtube.

So you live in Chicago IL now? Do you work for Midway? I used to work for them when they had a Mira Mersa office.

Yea, those fights would have been great on youtube. Or even some good pictures of a guy getting punched in the face. LOL

I think I am going to start bringing my camera with me. I was worried about the extra wear on it, but it will sit in my camera bag so it should be ok.

Everywhere but class, and even then I have to drag it along sometimes. (and I've always got my cell-phone camera, which does surprisingly well for itself.

Very rarely. maybe 30% of the time.

Im still in the process of getting things setup on my computer. HDD space is limited for now, I want more lenses and other things... the fewer pics I take for now the better. Till xmas :)

In theory, it's a good idea to always have your camera on you because you never know when a shot might present itself. I can remember the number of times I saw a great shot when out and about, sometimes when stopped at a traffic light. And then I lament not having a camera with me.

However, if you only have one camera and it's reasonably bulky, will you always carry it with you? And if you have a small and compact P&S, will it always give you the quality and operational speed you desire at the times when you really need to take a quick snap?
