40D - AF Point Selection

I cant get my AF Point selection to allow my camera to sellect which AF Point to use, I have AF Point Selection set to that little joystick control and i can manual select which point to use however now cant seem to get Auto AF Point Selection, Ive had it before but cant get it back. Any help would be great.

Use your joystick to select all focus points (when they all light up), then the camera will choose which one to use.
I think that should answer your question.

But how do i select them all? Push down selects centre then moving it around selects the outer points.

You will notice when you are selecting them you push the joystick in the center gets selected, then push it in again and they all get selected. The other way is to use the big wheel in the back.

Pressing it again simply selects the centre point twice, How do i set it to use the wheel? Doesnt seem to work when i set it in Cfns.

Edit, Ok got it set to work to be adjusted by the larger wheel, Now how do i set my apeture??

I suggest you read the manual.

NSWESP: to select all focus points when the joystick is active, use the "focus point select" button on the back of the camera. It's the top-rightmost button on the back.
