Just wondering. Has anyone tried to micro adjust (C.Fn III-7) a third party lens? And, if so, how did it turn out?

I take it buy saying "third party", you mean a lens like Sigma ?.

I cant see why it should be any different from using a Canon one as in adjusting the focus point and saving the setting for that lens.Though i could be wrong ?.

Have you tried to adjust a third party lens to the 1D3?

It is the camera you adjust to the lens... You can not adjust the lens...

It works the same as it would with a Canon lens

It works fine with Sigma. It just shows as a 20mm lens. And yes, I have done it myself. ;-)a

OK, thanks. I guess you mean that it gives the focal length only and not all the info one would get with a Canon lens. I just wanted to be sure the camera would retain the adjustment info. Thanks again.
