Help! Purple Fringing???

Hey All,
I was wondering if this is chromatic abrasion "purple fringing"? Thanks

Yep, in conditions like this (bright bright white shining behind a darker object) it's pretty normal unless you're stopped down.

Also looks like "flare" to me, but its more the subject then your gear. Any good image editing software has a one click removal :)

Exchange what for what? Are you sure you're not "looking" for problems with either lens? It sure looks like you picked a subject that would highlight an issue with CA...

With any lens - L or not.

No need to exchange, everything looks sharp to me, and as said, that's going to show up no matter what lens you have.
