Help! Purple Fringing???

I was wondering if this is chromatic abrasion "purple fringing"? Thanks

Yep, in conditions like this (bright bright white shining behind a darker object) it's pretty normal unless you're stopped down.

Also looks like "flare" to me, but its more the subject then your gear. Any good image editing software has a one click removal

Exchange what for what? Are you sure you're not "looking" for problems with either lens? It sure looks like you picked a subject that would highlight an issue with CA...

With any lens - L or not.

Yeah you'll get that with even the BEST glass. Its just physics.

No need to exchange, everything looks sharp to me, and as said, that's going to show up no matter what lens you have.
