Normal turn around time for Canon Service Center to fix front focus?

Gonna drop off at Canon Service in Irvine, just curious how long is general takes to fix front focus?

Lens or body? It took Canon (NZ) about a week to fix my 30D focus issue, for what that is worth.

I dropped off a lens once for calibration at Irvine and it was done the next day.
I also dropped off my camera body for a new circuit board and it was also done the next day.
I suspect that this is not normal turnaround, through. They're pretty quick considering how large the company is, though. Check your status online with the repair number they give you; sometimes it will say completed before they call you.

I mailed mine to Irvine from the Bay Area on Thursday afternoon (body) for cleaning, exposure check/adjust/Focus adjust. It was back here in my hands the following Wend.

A buddy is sending his out tomorrow for front focusing issues and fears he will be out his camera for two weeks or more. Hope he reads this thread:)

had to send my body in 3 times before they got it right. . . . .5 weeks total. i was completely disappointed in the quality of the work done. They got it right eventually. But it shouldnt' take 3 times.

Sent in twice to calibrate 50f1.4. Took me about 3 weeks in total.


Canon 5D, 7D, 17-40 F4L, 50 F1.4, 135 F2L, 200 F2.8L, 420EX.

Sometimes it takes 4 times. :P My camera was missing about 2 months total during a 5 month period. Though I didn't use up all of my old 35mm film as therapy.
