Some images from a recent trip to Florida. I took a great workshop, where I learned a lot, including how to have success hand-holding "the Beast" (500mm f/4L IS). All of these images were taken hand-held, and all but the last with the 500. The Sand Hill Crane was taken with 400mm f/5.6L.

As always C&C is welcomed. One thing I have learned is that I never stop learning!

Quite a series of excellent shots Ed. Very nice, and you got a lot of birds you won't see in California. :)

Wow...amazing shots. I love them all. This was definitely a great workshop. It's very hard to use the 500mm f4 handheld for more than few minutes at a time so you did extremely well. I'm impressed. :-)

Best regards

Sindri

Thanks for the kind words. Se my post above about Jim Neiger. If you are ever out Orlando way, look him up. He's a terrific guy.

Thanks and I definitely agree. As I said, I learned a lot for just one outing. Jim presented the info in such a way that I believe I can actually keep it all in my tiny little head ;)
