I have never taken a picture of a bird before, but I though these came out pretty nice. Just wanted to see what the experts thought...

I am no expert but I do like that last one......seems a tad dark to me but that could be my monitor.

I also like the expression in the second pic

Any owl shot is a good bird shot, and these are very nice. What kind of duck is that? Never seen one like it.

Well, for full disclosure, I took these at the Florida Aquarium in Tampa, so that owl is attached to the branch :)

And I'm not sure about the duck. I just borrowed a friend's 70-200 2.8 the day we went and snapped these.

For first shots I would say you should be quite proud! :D Also, looks like you managed to capture one of my favourite birds, a fulvous whistling duck! :D
