I've searched the forums but I haven't come up with any feedback on the MACK warranties. Has anyone actually used one to get any repair or sensor cleaning?
I have an option to either return my grey market 40D, or I could get a free 3-year MACK warranty on it. I'm thinking that the 3 year warranty seems pretty good, what do you guys think i should do?
Nobody could answer that without knowing why you are thinking of returning your 40D? Does it need repairing or the sensor cleaned? Is someone offering you a free MACK warranty 'just-in-case' or one instead of a repair?

I've heard more bad than good about Mack warranties.
Remember, they're out to make a good profit, Canon wants a satisfied customer.
And Canon would be happy to make nice lenses for no profit just as long as we were all happy??

hmmm. that's a good point,
MACK doesn't care as much as Canon.
Maybe, maybe not. Bit of a flawed assumption though based on one person's second hand experience wouldn't you say?
I think that you mind is made up against the MACK warranty and if that's the case I would return the 40D (for whatever reason), you are never going to have confidence in the warranty.
