I do make a KILLER poppy seed dressing from scratch. A little sweet, just a touch of spicy. YUM.

I love a good salad, and could live on that one food group alone, but for some reason, this just doesn't sound very appetizing to me. Apples and cranberries don't belong in a salad. And there are only two types of dressing that belong anywhere near one: Ranch (preferably Trader Joe's Parmesan Ranch) and Bleu Cheese...

That's what I thought too. Fruit does NOT belong in salads.
THe last restaurant I worked at had a salad with cranberries and apples, and once I tried it I was hooked. I molded it to my tastes, and that's what I came up with. the vinaigrette complements it perfectly.

Mayo sounds gross...but not as bad as gravy...

I'll have to take your word for it.

You got to do it and forget the classic conception of salad. I see this alot more now days. The combination of tart and sweet fruits with mild nuts. I think it is good. And I agree Kit a vinaigrette is just right.

My favorite restaurant here in town has a salad at lunch that I love. It's very bizarre to think about, but I love it.

Apples, Bean Sprouts, Lemon slices, Dill & Olive Oil (and probably some other stuff, but that's all I can think of off the top of my head).

Oh and on Fridays and Saturdays they have Dill Pickle soup. Absolutely TO DO FOR!! I love it!

Night people. I have to go to bed before I cave and make me a midnight (11?) snack.

Catch you on the flip side. ;)

I have one of those handy little pitcher/mixer thingies from Pampered Chef that gives various recipes right on the side. It's so easy and convenient. (And lacking in preservatives and other icky stuff)

Actual lemon chunks? *shudder*

DIll pickle soup? Creamy? Sounds odd.

That has a funky ring to it but I might try it. Is it just like a broth or, god forbid, are there pickles in it?
