Who is Zane/Zake/Zack?

We often ask that question ourselves.:p

So, today I will narrow down the shots in my folders to submit to the book. Wish me luck *sigh*

Good Luck. I've got everything except Performing Arts narrowed down and ready to convert. One for PA has a minor, for my own purposes I want a release before submitting.

LOL its ok. I don't like my picture taken either....but you get used to it when you have to be a model for your mother

Or spouse, or the only female during a POTN get together. Though the latter produced some shots I actually like.:D

That was shot with a 30D with a 70-200 L 2.8 . . .

I also have an older 10D as a secondary and a few other lenses with various filters.

Nice combo....

Squirrel was just outside the door today, eating the spill from the bird feeder.

Pic looks nasty because it was taken through double glazing (which isn't wonderfully clean).

Hmmm.. I miss the 70-200 f/2.8....

But the 135L does ok at sports, if I get the framing right.

I actually tossing about getting the 100-400 L 2.8, but it is a push/pull and I am not too certain about how comfortable I would be with that . . .

I've also thought about getting a 300 prime, but haven't looked at prices yet.

G'mae everyone :)

I did have quotes but I lost 'em.

Mike, I have tried pumpkin ice cream (when I was a youngster I used to work at the Dairy Queen and we served every autumn).

I can't remember what else I was gonna say.

oh, Congrats on the new cam Pete!

The 100-400 is an f/5.6. The push-pull takes a bit of getting used to, but it's not so bad when you get used to the push/pull with your fingertips.

For some reason though, I've not really got to grips with it as a motorsports lens.

Thanks, Lisa. Yeah. Ali's always saying how blue my eyes are, especially since I've got bright lights on there, which contracts my pupils (and hence makes my irises larger).

it's just too slow in attaining focus...at least, that's what I found when I had mine. It has it's niche but I definitely don't think it works for motorsports (I had enough problems with it with fast moving birds). Really it's just an older lens and does pretty well for what it was designed to do I guess...
