I promised myself not to spend all day on the computer, so I'm off to do something so freaking exciting I can't hardly stand it...

...laundry. :-(

BBL, I'm sure.

Hey Jim did anyone take into account all the dry looking brush surrounding your inferno:shock:?

It looks worse than it is. This is a borrow pit we use for making roads on our land, so it is basically all gravel, and outside of it is hay field. All the grass around was green, the glow of the flames made it look golden and dry.

We do these every once in a while with the branches of trees we knock down. Lots of fun. :)

I am looking forward to a short work week with Thursday and Friday off. Bummer that dad will probably still be in rehab for Thanksgiving, but we'll make the best of it.

Mike Christopher is too cute!! Where were you all? Looks a tad institutional.

Usually every year we volunteer at a soup kitchen during the day and have Thanksgiving with family (or at a restaurant) later in the day.

Good luck. Taking any extra time off this week?

Had my first BSOD already this morning. :(

No work here Wed, Thurs, Fri. :) Allie has half a day of school Wednesday, then is off the other days. So Wednesday I'm going to the store to pick things up for my mom. Then Thurs morning we will go to my mom's and I will cook ham steaks with potatoes, dressing and gravy and green beans for anyone that shows up. My mom is making pies and my sister is making cookie and cake. Then we'll go back home Friday sometime. Can't stay away too long cuz Twink needs daily medicine. Allie gets bored too. I'm just hoping to not eat too much. I can control portions when it comes to regular food, and even cookies and cake, but I have a real weakness for pie! Maybe I'll skip the meal and just have the pie.

Eli has a half day Wed. as well but we are having a big celebration here at the Center so I might see if someone can bring him here after school and he can hang out and eat mashed potatoes, his favorite.

Ya know, I been thinking that if kids went to school more regularly, we wouldn't have so much stinkin' homework!

The property is owned by a church, basically a living center for the elderly. Mostly independent living, apartments are outfitted to help with common conditions elderly people have (lack of mobility, and the like) The room we were in was a converted chapel made into a dining hall.

Not really, he seemed to enjoy all of the extra attention. He was all smiles most of the day. ;)

Thats a good thing Mike my son was a sensitive he would be happy with everyone but then shift to cannot sleep then shift to crank monster ..
When very little he would get so overdone I would just go to a room for him to chill out .
