Elements 4.0 is NOT officially compatible with Vista. Elements 5 does have a Vista patch, but not 4.

I did use Elements 4 on Vista for awhile, and it was mostly OK.... But there are lots of little glitches that eventually made me chose between updating to Elements 5, or going back to XP....

I chose XP.

I'm using Elements 4 with Vista. I have not had any problems. But I mainly use Power Tools and a curves plug in.

When I first installed it Vista warned that the program was not compatible. I just ignored it and haven't had trouble since. I had another program that would not work - I have that program running in Windows 2000 compatibility mode and it works now. If you are having issues you may want to try XP or 2000 compatibility modes.
