Hi all,
Posted over on the Still Life, B/W & Experimental forum but not much response. I'm looking for critique on the following 4 images in particular the black and white conversations.
Kindest regards,
Stark

Everytime I've tried it looks horrible. I've even tried a bunch of the B&W conversion actions and I still don't like my results. From my own experience, good or near perfect exposure is good for B&W, the light and the whites of the picture have to be caught well.. Then the two most important elements are contrast and some cases sharpness. OK, so why do my conversions disappoint me then? Randy

I would crop it to the the beginning of the second break in the clouds(if that makes sense basically half way down from the top.) i like the others ones good tonal value very nice overall. 30D - 70-200mm f4 L + 17-40mm f4 L + 50mm f1.8 + 2x Sigma 530 super + Kata R-103

I'm not a big fan of rules or too much PP. I just try to make the shot look good as I snap it then desaturate and compensate a bit of contrast or sharpness if I need to. I don't like to kill my contrast with photographs, I prefer more a natural tone to it...it's a personal preference. I'm far from one of the better photographers on here so take my advice with a grain of salt. There are plenty who are much better. This one here is one of my personal favorites, and someone mentioned sunsets , the true point I want to make is remember to have fun! Photography is all about experimenting and feel.
