What is the biggest size print that the 1D is able to do?? Mainly in wedding or portrature.

And how much bigger print would you get from the 1D MkII??

Canon 1DMkII, 10D w/grip, 28-135 IS, 70-200 2.8 L, 300 f4 L IS, 1.4 MkII, 2X MkII, and too much more to list.

I personally don't know about the 1D - I've heard some people get quite good results up to 18x12 inches, with proper upsampling (genuine fractals), sharpening, AND viewed from a normal viewing distance (i.e. a meter). They definitely don't hold up to miniscule inspection though.

With the 1DII, I've only printed up to 18x12inches, but I must say the images look GREAT even when viewed from just a foot away. Hanging on a wall, I imagine you could probably get into the 20x30 range with good results, just don't let anyone use a magnifying glass to look at your images.

I use GF 5.0, and even with 3MP crops, I can still get beautiful 12x8 prints, viewed at an arms length or less.

If you are worried about not being able to print big enough, I would recommend downloading the trial of GF 5.0, and printing something as big as you think you'll ever need. The image will be watermarked, but I bet you'll be surprised at how much more flexibility you get from your photos.
