Is there such a thing as "part time" wedding photographer ????¬!!!!

Weve shot 20 weddings this year whilst doing another full time job and its definitely more like having 2 full time jobs than one full time and one part time!

sign me up on this one too!

I'm two part-time photographers.

1 - I shoot for a huge local bookstore for their online website and events(family owned)
2 - Grant Watkins Photography, where I do jobs every now and then
3 - Full-time job at a B&M retailer.

I work as a teacher full time nine months per year and am also the high school yearbook adviser. I also work at my photography business nearly 40 hours per week as well, and am looking at buying a building for a permanent studio where I will collaborate with a fellow who is a videographer and DJ, a very innovative young lady who is a wedding florist, and possibly another woman who makes wedding cakes. Hopefully, I'll be able to move to full time in 2010 and just substitute teach during the slow season.

Part Time with no realistic intention of going full time. Most days, I enjoy my full time career too much.

I had a friend who LOVED working with computers. He fulfilled his dream of leaving the corporate world to open his own retail computer store. Within 3 years he HATED computers, closed the store, & left the region in a miserable condition.

I don't want to rely on photography work to feed my family. Shooting is fun for me and I want to keep it that way. It is my creative outlet when often my full time career allows little artistic license. (Change control you know!)

I am only part time....well if you can say that. I work from 9-3 at my day job, and work in the studio the rest...(at least 30hrs) I don't want to quit may day job yet, but it's getting more and more difficult to show up when I have so much work in the studio to do!

not a lot of gear, but I have endless amounts of energy!
