Us older photographers need larger print, the manual is too small, I can print out the manual and place into a binder but that huge "COPY" is placed across the pages when I print it.

Did you try downloading a copy? Then, you might have more control over print size, page size.

Yes, Canon does this, God knows why. It's incredibly annoying, and there's no reason for them to do it. Complain to Canon (not that it'll get you anywhere). The only thing I can suggest is rather difficult - to try opening it with a variety of open sourced based PDF readers - that'll mean installing GNU/Linux, and I can't guarantee it'll work. I have GNU/Linux on my PC (I'm on my Dad's PC at the moment in order to access the Internet), but I don't have a printer, so I can't test it.

How about scanning your owners book that came with the camera? Then you can print it out in any size you'd like and/or just keep it as files in the computer. Bring up a page and hit the + key to enlarge.

I have the same problem with my MKIII user guide in danish. Is there any places to download the guide in danish like the small one that came with the camera.

If you haven't got a scanner the you could always photograph the manual and print it out at whatever size you liked.

This is the PDF manual I have which doesn't have the watermark, I have the problem with my old eyes as well so I printed an A4 bound manual.

Cheers

A while back somebody described a method to get rid of the 'COPY' when you print the PDF.
I'm too lazy to do the search (already printed myself a copy, so I didn't bother to bookmark the thread)

they make them small so it's easy to take with you when you're out shooting...but i guess you've made a good point and i'm glad you found the copy online with no watermark.
