I'm sure he just assumed that you were a dealer and acted accordingly. They really have to work hard to keep the DWF free from commercial overload so I can see how he would over-react. John Mark is a really decent guy. I bought my 17-55 IS from him and had the pleasure of conversing with him a few times by phone. I'm sure it was simply an honest mistake on his part.
