Sorry!!!!!!!!! chances are now you will not get one for 2 months :(

Yep, just read the news in another post. Looks like Canon is demanding that Santa sends all his Mark IIIs back to base.

You don't live in the big white house; right in the middle of the park do you??? Is Danson your garden? :) I've lived in Bexleyheath all my life... I rather be in the scenery of New Zealand though!!!

I live 20 metres from the park

My uncle lives in Stonefield Close, Bexleyheath - next to Russell Park - he's also into photography

Off out into Bexleyheath tonight with another family member, see how good the pubs/clubs are - only been once

Thanks everyone, I must say I am looking forward to gaining a bit more "wide reach" with the 1.3x crop instead of 1.6x.

Yeah, it's a great thing having the extra width - my love for the 17-40 grew again after getting the 1D. On the long end, unless you're making direct comparisons, you won't notice it at all. Just move closer to the subject ;)

no contest: 1DMIII... a better/faster computer wont make u a better photographer. (hell, a better camera wont make u one either :P)

The 1D doesn't change compositional skills either - I admit the keeper rate increases, (if it focuses well for some), and the colours are striking out of camera

A shame! Maybe they'll announce a 1D IIIN and scrap all 1D III's :)

I used to live there. Well almost, Greenwhich really, but down the end of Bexley road near where you stop being in London and start being in Kent. My sister still does live in the area. Small world this thread. :)

...I already have a beautiful iMac...

Why even ask? There is nothing like a 1D series camera.

I imagine that the re-release of the 1D Mk III will be right around the time when the 1Ds Mk III (full frame, 21mp, 5 fps) will be released. You think you have a hard time making choices now, just wait 'till then!

Perhaps for some but as for me $4350 was a stretch and $7000+ is out of the question. Besides, I would not care for the AOV my lenses would have on a FF.
