It's 2 years since I joined POTN and I've never been happier. Thanks, Pekka, for building this forum. Thanks to Jon for putting up with me and my "Just curious" questions. I've met some wonderful people here and learned more than any class or book. I've spent more money on this hobby than on any of my cars. But most important, thanks to my kids for giving me a chance to catch moments in their lives in pictures and to my sweet husband for paying for most of the toys.

Good Morning Suzie :D

Thanks for all the time and energy you have put into POTN to help make it the great community that it is. You are a great teacher and mentor...I for one have learned much from you :D

Thanks, Jim. I'm having a great time, even though I haven't been on much lately. Someone asked how I posted 11k+ in 2 years, just 16 replies a day, average. :)

I hope to see you after the wedding meet so we can talk about it. I'm wondering if anyone wants to go to the PhotoPlus thing in NYC next October to look around and shop and eat.

Thanks, John. I just got home from teaching and I've already read a ton of stuff about the 2 new lenses Canon introduced. This forum is killing me!

It's a bugger, isn't it?

We strive for the perfect setup - and then our needs/desires/workflows change - and off we go again!

I find it an excellent hobby to get all the work 'stuff' back on an even keel. I get in my 4WD with the dog and a couple of cameras and go sit in a remote location for a while, waiting for something/anything to pass by - and just quietly relax.

Suzie,

I'm in on PhotoPlus...Mark has already lined me up for dinner :) I wanted to go this year but I had business meetings already scheduled. Next year we will go for sure! Take the AMTRAK to Penn Station and we are a couple of blocks from B+H as well :)

Thanks, Dan. I doubt I'll catch up to you, though. I've seen you in some of those really chatty threads. You just had your 2nd anniversary last month. :)

My family lives in NYC, Jim, I'm staying with them, but B&H is a few blocks from where my sister works so I'm there. Let's just set the day for Oct. next year and Mark can meet us. :)

Hey Suzie, Happy Anniversary! I'll treat you to a hot dog next time you're in town; we'd be hard pressed to find a blooming cherry tree to eat under though. Nahhh seriously, we can go to Chinatown to shoot and eat. Mark will come along to foot the bill :) Hehe.

I had my 2nd a couple months ago...I didn't start a thread about it, though.

Suzy, we gotta meet up sometime. If we don't do it "locally", we should setup a good size NYC meet next year. If a lot of people were going, I'd go.

Thanks, Ron, Prio and Gil. A big meet for the PhotoPlus sounds great, actually. :) And Ronald, I'll be in Vestal probably sometime at Christmas. Are you going to be around?

Pio, Mark will have to pay for 2 dirty hot dogs for me. I eat a lot . :)
