I took my CF cards from my 350D put them in my card reader and formated them using my PC, then I put them in the 40D and formated in the camera and my numbering started at 001 You must format them first using the PC or else the 40D will pick up the last nmuber on the card used on another Canon camera. HTH ![]() Thanks again! I did not know this little fact on my last 2 upgrades and quite truthfully...never really paid any attention at first 40D, 70-200 f/2.8L, Tamron17-50mm f/2.8 XR Di-II, EX-580,Canon 1.4tc
