Impulsive buy, New 40D!

I just had to see for myself...anyways what about the CF card and numbering? I want the camera numbering to be at 1 not more? Di I simply reformat used card and it will start from 0? TIA:D

Hi and welcome to the 40D 'club'

I took my CF cards from my 350D put them in my card reader and formated them using my PC, then I put them in the 40D and formated in the camera and my numbering started at 001

You must format them first using the PC or else the 40D will pick up the last nmuber on the card used on another Canon camera.

Thanks again! I did not know this little fact on my last 2 upgrades and quite truthfully...never really paid any attention at first:oops:

I'll be christening her later at my daughter's soccer game..can't wait!
