I sold one of my 20D's about six months ago, and I regret having done so. I'll be picking up a 40D here in the near future, though, so I'll be back where I need to be...

That worked fine until its encounter with sea water and now I've been a month without. Two bodies would definitely be preferable, but I couldn't justify the cost (not a pro). Mark.

I think most of those who own two bodies, have upgraded their first body, and have not gotten around to, or have not found it worthwhile to sell their second cam it wouldn't surprise me. almost everyone i know who has upgraded has at least one other body. http://instagram.com/edraderphotography/

I might keep the 20 for backup, but probably would sell to upgrade glass. If you ask my wife, she would ask "Why do you need another camera?" Kevin

I had two but sold my 20D...now I want two again so I'm looking at the 5D to go along with my 40D.

The number of people with a 350D/400D or a Nikon D40, a kit lens (perhaps even a 55-200 as well) and green box mode will be greater than those on this forum by a factor of at least 10. There's a reason Canon's most profitable camera is the 400D. (at least I think I read that somewhere). I'd love 2 bodies, but I'd have to have considerably more money. The cost involved, the depreciation etc would make it far more worth my while to have a lens (much less depreciation) than a body. I do agree with most of that. The only reason I have 2 is because I had bought the 30D and 20D used. The only new one I bought was the Xti. Next year I will might even break down and get a used 1d MKII.
