Will the 40D work with the BG-E2 grip from my 20D?

I bought the mention grip with my 40D at a special price. It works great. The new grip has slightly better weather seals, however would have cost mee 100 bucks more.

P.S. love the camera

IF you have a BG-E2 use it, don't buy the new one. If you do need a BG-E2N (the new grip with the only difference being the weather striping around the battery compartment) then buy it from 17 Street Photo. They have it for $179, cheapest I've seen.

Yes your BG-E2 will work with your 40D, but keep in mind you will not have the AF-ON button when in portrait orientation.

You will not have AF-ON button on BG-E2N either..

What we see depends mainly on what we look for.
