Just bought mine from Ebay for an awesome price! What are the D rings that are located on the middle of the straps for? I saw a review for Thinktank Rotation 360, and that had the same D rings on the backpack straps. The Thinktank comes with a camera strap that can be hooked onto those rings so you don't have to strain your neck by carrying the camera around it all day. I am wondering if anyone knows where I can find a camera strap like this? Here is a picture of what it looks like:

You can try the QR straps from a POTN strap (optech pro loop I think) but not sure how strong they'd be since they're made of fabric on one end and plastic on the other.

Those wont work. At least not from the looks of this picture:

you have to buy 2 of the straps w/ the plastic QRs, not the best solution but it does do what you're asking.

Look at the bottom of this picture where it shows a backpack adaptor. I have no clue which one that is.

Oh those are new. My pro loops didn't come w/ those QRs. Here's a bigger pic of the backpack adapter, looks like it just clips onto the d-ring (or whatever else)

I found a better one. Tamrac n-11 for $17. The clips on the Optech one look a bit weird. Here is a picture of the Tamrac.

That is what I use and they work great. have been on several hikes with them.

Actually, I think I am going to go with the Optech Super Classic 3/8 Strap and add on the Swivel Hook attachment. This is a lot cheaper than getting ripped off by Tamrac.

Hi,
I've decided for Lowepro Primus, but not realy sure if Minimus isn't an better option since I do not want to carry a huge backpack (5cm wider).
Is anyone here who can tell me if Minimus can carry 450D+70-200 f/4 (w/o IS)? I'm not currently having the lens, but will come soon and don't want to find out at that time it doesn't fit.
I've searched here (India) around for some place where Lowepro is available, but not sucessful therefore I have to rely only on reviews.

I recently bought the Primus minimus to take my 50D (with 18-135mm - the only lens i own unfortunately) on hikes with, and i'm sold on it. Very comfortable, light and i have no problems acessing the camera thru the side hatch, although it does help that my hands are on the small side! :) Heaps of space up top too, not to mention the expandable compartment for yr water bladder and whatnot.

Shooting: 50D, lenses: EFS 18-135mm f3.5-5.6 IS, EF 50mm f1.8.

I found it too difficult for me to access my 5DII from the side with both straps on my shoulders. But I am satisfied by the fact that side-access becomes easy when the left shoulder strap is taken off, and the Primus just operates like a sling bag.
