Canon 30D or 1D Mark II

so i have been given an amazing deal to get a Mark II....but right now i have the 30D....my question is...is the Mark II better....quality wise? i know glass matters a lot too (obviously), but im all set with glass. Sensor wise, which is better? the FPS is a great thing to have for me, but i do sometimes shoot landscapes and stuff like that. ... icant afford to keep both, so what do you think i should do? trash the 30D and get the Mark II, or ...keep my 30D?

1D II has the same amount of pixels and has a sensor design almost the same age as the 30D (20D's sensor design) and the pixels of the 1D II are bigger - I'd guess the 1D II is better in all respects except "smallness".

mark II is great for landscapes too, the 1.3x crop will give you a bit more FOV, which is nice. I didn't even blink when I had to choose between keeping the 20D and going after a great deal on a mark II. Image quality is identical noise wise, but you will lose some fine detail, which I only notice on shots of things with lots of hair. Do it!!

Aren't you going off-logic now? I thought bigger pixels meant better quality... less noise and more detail.

Without even reading your post i can tell you the 1d mark II is a overall better camera, except weight
