He setup his MKIII so he has a default setup for birding. Then when he shoot something else he change whatever needs changing and shoot that. But if he then spot a bird he wants to shoot he press one button and all settings revert to the default he setup. I guess this is something you could use. Alternatively, you can register Custom settings with AI Servo and One Shot focus selected (though you'll need to make sure the rest of your settings in the two Custom modes agree).
